Real, personalised financial service for real South Africans

Here’s how we see it.

Building wealth is
a journey

No matter where you are on your path to wealth, you can benefit from good financial advice. Some of our clients are busy building up a nest egg for their first house; others are seasoned entrepreneurs and beyond… we’re there for all of them. And for you.

Money is personal. So is our advice

Our advisors aren't incentivised by commission on products, so there’s no hidden agenda to sell specific solutions. What is on the agenda is to offer the best possible financial advice to our clients for their specific needs. For us, it’s about value, care and long term partnerships.

We’re your investor co-pilots

Ideally, investors should have a good understanding of what they’re investing in. But we get it - you may not be a financial expert. As dedicated producers of some of the top financial information in the market, we empower you to be confident about the financial decisions you make.

Embrace the power of ETFs

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are a low cost, well-diversified product that give investors access to the stock market at a much lower risk. Because of this, they’re a reliable long-term source of wealth building - and it’s why we’re so passionate about them (and why we think you should be too).

Timeline

2010

In 2010, South African ETF pioneer Mike Brown had an idea:

To give investors access to all ETFs listed on the JSE. A decade earlier, he’d helped establish Satrix to list the first ETF on the JSE. With this expertise under his belt, he launched the ETFSA Investor Plan. This evolved into the Investor Hub, a fully digital electronic platform that enables investment into more than 200 locally listed ETPs.

2013

In 2013, ETFSA launched the ETFSA RA Fund.

A retirement annuity fund open to all South African retail investors. Since then, we’ve added a range of living annuities and other retirement products to our offering.

2015

In 2015, we established the ETFSA Portfolio Management Company (EPMC).

It manages discretionary portfolios in both Rand and hard currencies.

2024

Over the years we have also developed a reputation for our detailed data services and research on South Africa’s ETF industry dating back to the industry’s origins in 2000.

Since we began, we’ve held fast to our independence: we have no outside shareholders or external influences. We also remain true to what we’re passionate about: providing real personalised service to real South Africans. We act as their investment co-pilots, empowering them with the information they need to make wise financial decisions.
