This EFTSA Monthly Performance Survey covers the period ending 29 February 2024. The report highlights the strong performance of “exotic” ETNs, which track specialised indices like the Metaverse, Fintech, Big Data, and Space over the past six months. With global market focus on new technologies and innovation, particularly artificial intelligence, these high-tech ETNs are gaining traction in the South African market.
Currently, there are over 200 ETPs listed on the JSE, with significant growth observed in ETNs, Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs), and Actively Managed ETFs.
